Maharajah’s Staircase

Once upon a time …. a Maharajah decided that he needed an extra palace to host his guests in a more suitable environment. As he had more money than taste he decided to combine various architectural styles, which were en vogue at the time, to create the new house for his guests. His guest palace ended up as a rather strange building. It has since been converted into a hotel. Film crews love the palace as several centuries can be shot during one single shoot. A tasty gem is depicted in this photo: a staircase within a British colony-style wing.
